Air Care Called to Goshen 2 Times in One Day!

Air Care had to make two flights to Goshen Township on Sunday, June 15th.

The first happened at 2:15 after a 2-year-old boy fell into a swimming pool at 1822 Parker Road. The child's grandmother says he had been visiting with her when he took off for the pool. By the time she caught up with him, the child was on the bottom of the pool, and not breathing. That grandmother pulled the child from the pool and began C.P.R. Her husband called 9-1-1. By the time Air Care arrived, the child was breathing again. He was flown to Children's Medical Center in Cincinnati as a precaution.

Air Care was called back to Goshen at 8:43 after a motorcycle rider went off the road at the intersections of State Routes 132 North & 28. 42-year-old Michael Richter laid the motorcycle down in a field, and suffered injuries serious enough for medics to call for Air Care's assistance. Once medics got on the scene they decided injuries were not as serious as previously thought. That conclusion combined with worsening weather lead medics to the decision to send Richter to University Hospital by way of ambulance instead. No further information on Richter is available. Alcohol is not suspected in this crash.
