Goshen Township, Ohio

Clean & Green Day a Success!!

About 40 volunteers met at Goshen Township Hall on Saturday morning to help with the annual litter clean up drive. That's a steep increase from last year's turnout of 16!

Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Lion's Club Members, students, and community members all worked together to beautify the Township.

During the clean up, Sue Bowman and Sharon McFadden discovered several empty pill containers, and decided to call Goshen Police. Police Chief Ray Snyder said those pill bottles were part of what appears to be a dumping of items used to create methamphetamine. A propane tank and other paraphernalia used to cook meth were also discovered. An environmental group was called in to clean up the mess. Snyder notes this kind of discovery is rare, and happens just about once a year.

All participants in the Clean & Green litter pick up were given a free T-shirt and free lunch. The event was sponsored by Clermont 20/20.
