Goshen Township, Ohio

Goshen Township Police Department

Officer Djim

In Memory...

Goshen Township is mourning the loss of our K-9, Officer Djim. Djim's owner and handler officer Matt Bucksath found Djim in his crate on June 12th. Vets believe a sudden heart attack or brain aneurysm is to blame for the death.

The 6 year old Belgian Malinois has been a member of our department since 2005. In his time with us Djim has aided  in seizing over $6000 dollars in illicit narcotics and contributed to the arrest of over 230 criminal suspects.

Goshen police will wear a black stripe over their badges in memory of Officer Djim.

I only met Officer Djim once. In that time though, I saw a strong bond between Djim and his handler, and an inspired officer who was more than a pet with a job. He was an officer with a mission to get drugs off Goshen's streets.
