Goshen Township FIRE/ EMS Department
David Books serves Goshen as a Fire Prevention Training Officer. He's been a fulltime member of the department for 12 years, and has served as a volunteer firefighter since 1986. Before becoming a firefighter, David worked at Phillips Supply Company for 10 years. He is a 1984 graduate of Loveland High School. He continued his education by taking several Fire/ EMS courses at Great Oaks, Butler Tech, and the Ohio Fire Academy. David has two children, Jacqueline and Donald, and 3 grandchildren. He enjoys fishing and camping.
William Burns knew he wanted to be apart of the Goshen Fire/EMS Department at a young age! He joined the department as a cadet at just 14 years old! In just 4 years, he was hired on as a regular firefighter. He's now been with the department for 14 years. William graduated from Goshen High School in 1999. He is married with a daughter. He enjoys spending time with his family, and riding 4 wheelers on his days off.
Kathy Clark joined Goshen Township in 2007. Before coming to Goshen she worked with the Turtlecreek Township Fire Department. Kathy is a 1996 graduate of Kinap High School, and the Butler Tech Paramedic program (2006.)She has three daughters and enjoys attending their soccer games.
Bryan Broyles comes to Goshen Township from Hillsboro. He's been a fulltime firefighter/medic here for 3 years. He is a 1991 graduate of Hillsboro High School, and a 1995 graduate of ITT Technical College. He holds an Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Bryan is married and the proud father of 3 children. In his spare time he enjoys golf, fishing, and carpentry.
Nathan Crocket is another veteran of the Cadet program. He joined at age 14, and now 14 years later he's still with the department. He holds an Associate's Degree in Audio/Video production from Southern Ohio College. Nathan enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Douglas Engled Jr. is a second-generation firefighter. His dad is an assistant chief with the Township. Douglas Jr. began working side by side with his father more than 11 years ago as a cadet. He left the department for two years in 2004 to serve his country as a member of the US Marine Corps. Engled graduated from Goshen High School and received fire and EMS training at "Scarlet Oaks." He enjoys restoring vehicles and kayaking.
Christian Elliot has a long list of experience in the firefighter/paramedic field. He has also worked with the Deerfield Township, Sycamore, and St. Clair fire departments. He is a graduate of Lakota High School and has attended Sinclair Community College in Dayton, The University of Cincinnati, and Cincinnati State.
