Goshen Residents get Road Relief!
It's news residents living on or off of Gaynor Road have been waiting to hear since April, a plan is in the works!
The Ohio Public Works Commission announced today that Goshen Township has been awarded a grant to fix the road, closed down by a landslide in April of this year. In August Township Trustees authorized service director Lou Clemons to file for the grant in order to fix the roads with a minimum cost to the Township.
The grant comes in the total amount of $280,000 dollars, 21% of that ($58,800) matched by the Township.
During the road's closure residents as well as police, fire, and paramedics have been forced to take a timely detour.
The grant money should be received in July of 2009. Service Director Lou Clemons hopes to have work completed by September of next year.
