The Goshen Gallop is Hot to Trot!

With the sponsorship of several local civic groups and a few large corporate sponsors, the Goshen Gallop is quickly becoming a reality for the Goshen community.

The Goshen Township Trustees, Goshen Chamber of Commerce, Goshen School Board, Goshen Park Board, Goshen CIC, and Goshen Youth Soccer Association have all agreed to sponsor the Gallop. DER Development, T.J. Corcoran, and Clonch Insurance have all signed on as corporate sponsors. Clonch Insurance has also donated the insurance policy for the event.

The event, scheduled to be held on August 21-22, 2009, will be held in Marr Park on Goshen Road. The Gallop Committee recently confirmed that Eric Marr, nephew of Kate Marr, will ceremonially light the bonfire on Friday evening. Other events promising to be crowd pleasers include old time photography, live birds of prey from the Cincinnati Zoo, a fire juggler, a man on stilts, live horses, horseshoe & cornhole tournaments, and lots of good food!

The organization's website, www.goshengallop.com, is now up and running. Community members can reserve their campsites online, as well as pre-pay for the Rancher's Cookout on Friday, and Rustler's Breakfast on Saturday morning.

A 15% discount is being offered toward all online purchases to anyone who signs up to be a member of the Goshen Horse Thief Detectives. The Horse Thief Detectives are presenting the event.
