Goshen Township Safety Services Levy
Support your Everyday Heroes
August 5, 2008

What If?
It's not a question we like to ask, but it's one we need to provide an answer for. Right now your local Fire, Police, and EMS departments need your help. We're asking you to pass a safety services levy on August 5th.
For you, that means a fully staffed fire department, in case your home catches on fire. It means police officers ready to help you no matter the situation. It means a life squad always on call, in case you need medical attention in a hurry.
The levy is needed in order to update ageing, in some cases outdated, equipment as well as purchase new equipment for the Township's fire & EMS department. It will also prevent the layoff of 2 fire/EMS and 2 police personnel and allow for a second shift police clerk to help answer calls and assist the public.
The 4.5 mils will break down to an additional 38-43 cents per day for the owner of a $100,000 dollar home.
