Cpl. Robinson named Master Criminal Investigator
Goshen Township is pleased and honored to announce that Goshen Township Cpl. Ronald Robinson has received the "Master Criminal Investigator" classification. The certification is one of distinction given by the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy, a division of the Ohio Attorney General's office.
Cpl. Robinson completed 192 hours of specialized training in crucial areas of law enforcement expertise including sex crime investigation, computer crimes, death investigation, photography for investigators, and drug identification and field testing.
Only 25 to 50 officers per year have attained this prestigious distinction since it's introduction in 2000.
"[The distinction] shows a level of professionalism. It shows the officer is trying to show his or her best on the job," said Law Enforcement Training Officer Wayne Wiggins.
Cpl. Robinson becomes the first and only officer in Goshen Township's history to earn this certification, "Ron in one of those guys who will apply what he learned on the streets. I'm really proud of him," said Goshen Township Police Chief Ray Snyder.
