Would you know a tornado from simple cloud rotation?
With spring comes severe weather season in Ohio. This year, you could become a volunteer storm spotter for Clermont County. Storm spotters work with local meteorologists to track possible tornadoes and funnel clouds. The training also allows you to better recognize when the weather becomes dangerous.
A training session will be held at University of Cincinnati Clermont Campus on Wednesday, February 25th at 9 pm. Meteorologist Mary Jo Parker from the National Weather Service will teach you what conditions need to exist for tornadoes to develop. You will learn how to recognize various types of cloud formations and conditions that can spawn other dangerous weather situations.
The training is informative, fun, and best of all it's FREE!
