Vacation House Check Requests

As a service to the residents of the community, the Goshen Township Police Department will check the security of your home while you are out of town and your home is unattended.

To subscribe for this service, please provide the following information to our Records Clerk at deborah.britt@goshen-oh.gov

• Your full address including zip code;
• Your name;
• Is your residence protected by an alarm system?
• Will you be leaving any lights on, and if so, are they on constant, on a timer, or other automated device?
• Are you leaving keys to your home with anyone locally?
• If so, that person’s name address and telephone number;
• Will the key holder know how to reach you I the event of an emergency to your property?
• When are you departing?
• When do you expect to return?
• Are there any parties that have permission to be on your property during your absence?
• Description and plate number of any vehicles left on your property during your absence.

Upon your return, you will be provided with a listing of the dates and times that your home was checked, and a description of anything unusual we may have found during that time.
